The Best Bottomless Brunches in DC

If you’ve spent any time in DC you’ve probably noticed what a great foodie city Washington, DC is! We like good food + cocktails out here in the capital city and brunch is no exception!

Brunch is really a lifestyle here in DC and people take it seriously! A bunch of really great spots offer bottomless food or drinks for $35 or $40. Some restaurants do tapas, some buffet style or even offer bottomless cocktails and mixed drinks.

Brunch is definitely my favorite meal and I’ll make any excuse to plan one. Friends in town? Brunch. Birthday? Brunch. Your friend’s dog just turned 2? Great, let’s go to brunch.

Throughout my time in DC I’ve tried out plenty of spots – so I’ve done it, I’ve finally compiled all of my well-curated wisdom into one list. Here are a few of the best bottomless brunches Washington, DC has to offer:

801 Bar

801 is a really solid choice for a fun brunch. 801 is a well-known, popular bar with a lively rooftop and great view. It is a pretty reliable spot – since 801 such a large space they almost always have availability for brunch. The food is pretty standard brunch fare with millennial-friendly options like avocado toast and a California eggs benedict. 801 also offers bottomless mimosas with your choice of juice (orange, grapefruit, etc.).

The 801 rooftop is a great day drinking spot just north of one of my favorite neighborhoods – 14th and U. It’s a great spot to start off a fun Saturday before heading upstairs to the roof. While you’re at 801, be sure to enjoy a mega mule with a group of friends!

Agora

If you love bottomless food then Agora is the place for you! Agora has really tasty Mediterranean food served tapas style. Once you sit down, the waiters just keep bringing out endless dips, apps and entrees. If you want more of something, they’ll bring it.

Agora is a ton of fun for a big group – there is more than enough food for everyone and you can easily go out of your comfort zone and try something new. Beyond having incredible hummus and baba ghanouj, there’s challah french toast and other Turkish delights.

One thing that makes Agora stand out is its bottomless drink choices – the restaurant offers bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, champagne and drum roll…mixed drinks!

All Purpose (Capitol Riverfront)

Who doesn’t love a good pizza?! While All Purpose has multiple locations, the Capitol Riverfront location in Navy Yard is surrounded by great bars and offers beautiful views of the water.

All Purpose is the perfect spot for brunch on a nice day, especially if you’re able to sit on the sunny patio along the waterfront. All Purpose has some of the best, bougie pizza in the district (I’d recommend the Sedgewick pie!). Since the pizzas are pretty large, I’d also recommend splitting one and a “brunch specialty” item, like a salad or bruschetta, with a friend.

All Purpose also offers really good bottomless brunch cocktails, most notably my personal favorite libation – an aperol spritz!

Bar Charley

Bar Charley’s is on the more affordable end of bottomless brunches, clocking in at just shy of $30 – but that doesn’t mean it’s any less delicious!

My favorite item on the menu might be the delectable cinnamon rolls. They only make so many for the day so you have to order them first thing! Additionally, Bar Charley’s isn’t a huge restaurant so it’s best to make reservations for bigger groups well in advance!

As for drinks, Bar Charley’s offers bottomless mimosas, bloodies and Narragansett tall-boys.

Boqueria

OK – Boqueria just might be my favorite brunch spot in DC! There are two locations – one in Dupont Circle and one in Penn Quarter downtown – and I can personally attest to how great they both are.

Boqueria is such a fun experience and I’ve always had wonderful waiters. Brunch is served tapas style and there is plenty of food to choose from. From patatas bravas to blistered shishito peppers, Boqueria’s bottomless Spanish food is to die for!

The food is brought out on very instagrammable platters that are perfect for sharing. The first round even comes with a bloody mary shot! While on the topic of drinks, Boqueria’s brunch offers bottomless red or white sangria, bloody marys, mules and margaritas. Even better, the meal ends with warm churros and a chocolate dipping sauce!

Local 16

One of my favorite birthday parties was a brunch at Local 16 when I turned 25! This is a great spot for birthday parties or if you want more of a boisterous atmosphere!

Local 16 uniquely provides Afghan cuisine for its brunch fare. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone in your group. From waffles to lamb karahi to pizza – Local 16’s brunch has a little bit of everything. There is also a great selection of bottomless drinks like flavored mimosas, bellinis, bloody marys, sangria and beer.

Mission Navy Yard

I know I just said Boqueria is probably my favorite brunch spot but Mission Navy Yard is right up there too! It is so. much. fun.

Plenty of my friends have had birthday parties or going away parties at Mission – it is a really fun, wide open bar next door to the Nationals Ball Park in Navy Yard. And the brunch is really good too!

I could eat Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Mission’s brunch has all of your favorite dishes with a Mexican twist – like a chorizo skillet, quesadillas, nachos and breakfast burritos!

Luckily, Mission’s brunch also includes bottomless margs – as well as mimosas, bloodies and dos equis. It’s a really fun spot – I guarantee you’ll want to stick around after brunch.

Seqouia

If you’re looking for a great bottomless brunch option in Georgetown look no further than Seqouia. Bonus – it offers beautiful views of the Georgetown waterfront.

Sequoia is a staple in Washington DC’s brunch scene and the restaurant has been around for decades. Seqouia has a very popular Sunday brunch with really yummy pancakes and great seafood. Seqouia is know for its bottomless food and drinks – including mimosas, sangria and bloodies.

This last one is a personal favorite spot of mine. Silo has wonderful champagne-heavy mimosas and delicious breakfast dishes. It has a really warm and friendly environment and is the perfect neighborhood spot.

Silo is also really affordable and is the perfect place to go with friends on a lazy weekend morning. I’ve been going there for years now and it will always be my favorite low-key spot.

While there are so many more delicious brunch options in DC, I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about my favorite spots. Do you have a favorite brunch in town that I haven’t tried? Let me know in the comments!

xx,

Cait
